Contact Helderberg High School. We couldn't get our son into a government high school (despite good marks and participation in sports) and ended up going with Helderberg High and what a blessing in disguise it was! Going on our 2nd year and couldnt be happier! My son loves his sports and they offer such a balance of sports. Plus he is thriving academically and received a long list of awards at the end of last year for his academics. They are a private school but their school fees are reasonable in comparison to other private schools. They are an English high school, but they do accept Afrikaans children who are able to follow the curriculum in english 💙
